RD Management and JMF Properties Sign Five Retail Leases at Bayonne’s Harbor View Marketplace

Five retailers to occupy 88,811 square feet of the new mixed-use development
RD Management LLC, one of the nation’s largest privately held real-estate development and management organizations, and partner JMF Properties, one of New Jersey’s most active redevelopers of residential and commercial property, announced today five new retail leases at Harbor View Marketplace in Bayonne, New Jersey. The leases include:
- 35,117-square-foot Lidl scheduled to open third quarter, 2020
- 35,008-square-foot LA Fitness scheduled to open third quarter, 2020
- 14,698-square-foot CVS Pharmacy scheduled to open third quarter, 2020
- 2,415-square-foot Starbucks scheduled to open third quarter, 2020
- 1,573-square-foot Posh Nails & Beauty Lounge scheduled to open third quarter, 2020
In October, RD Management and JMF Properties, the designated redevelopers of the 14-acre site located on the former Military Ocean Terminal, broke ground on the second phase of construction at Harbor View Marketplace and ScenicVue, the residential portion developed in partnership with Accurate Builders. The 240,780-square-foot Harbor View is anchored by Costco Wholesale, which opened in March, 2019 and includes an 18-pump Costco Gasoline gas station.

Harbor View Marketplace, a new commercial development, is located in an Urban Enterprise Zone at the intersection of State Route 440 and Goldsborough Drive, a heavily trafficked area with 37,000 cars passing daily, and only 500 yards from the 14A exit on the New Jersey Turnpike. The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail 34th Street Station is across the street, making the center easily accessible by transit. Also, Cape Liberty Port, located directly behind Harbor View Marketplace, has the second-largest passenger volume among Northeast and Mid-Atlantic coast ports and recently completed a $50 million expansion that is expected to increase the passenger volume to 600,000 per year. When completed, the mixed-use property will feature 651 multifamily residential units, with rooftop terraces and walking paths, and over 90,000 square feet of retail space.
