RD Management Signs Lease With Fresh International Market at Shops at Tech Ridge in Austin, Texas

Fresh International Market to occupy 49,000+ square feet at the shopping center

RD Management LLC, one of the nation’s largest privately held real-estate development and management organizations, announced today it has signed a lease with authentic Asian grocer Fresh International Market at its Shops at Tech Ridge in Austin, Texas. The 49,130-square-foot Fresh International Market is scheduled to open in 2023.

In 2012, Fresh International Market was started in Lansing, Michigan by Bowen Kou. Kou’s mission is to bring a vibrant lifestyle and the best authentic global flavors to the U.S. He does this by selling only the best products imported from more than 28 countries and weekly deliveries of vegetables and fruits from local farms. Inside the Fresh International Market will be well-known bakery, Paris Baguette, as well as high-end restaurants such as Aburi Yakiniku, a Japanese Kobe beef grill, and Hotpot. In addition to the dining experiences, Bilingual Real Estate Service PropNex Realty, Fresh International Market’s broker, will be renting a space in the store. By merging upscale international retail and restaurants, Fresh International Market will drive incredible traffic to this center and fulfill the international food growing needs in Austin, TX.

Shops at Tech Ridge will be Fresh International Market’s eighth location in the country, adding to other locations throughout the Midwest and Southeast. The grocer will be occupying the space that was previously Toys “R” Us and join major tenants such as Fitness Connection, Conn’s HomePlus, Furniture Mall of Texas, Floor & Decor, PetSmart, Ross Dress for Less, Party City, and Dollar Tree. The new partnership was represented by RD Management’s on-site brokers, Lance Morris and PJ Kammer of The Retail Connection.


Shops at Tech Ridge is a 515,039-square-foot power center with a newly constructed entrance off I-35 Frontage Road, and just a 15-minute drive from downtown Austin. Situated in a bustling retail and technology corporation corridor, approximately 180,000 cars per day see the three multi-tenant pylon signs from I-35. Shops at Tech Ridge is within one mile of Parmer Innovation Center, an extensive business park with a Samsung campus and tenants such as Home Depot, 3M Corp., Natera, and Blue Apron.

Adjacent to Shops at Tech Ridge is AMC Dine-In Tech Ridge 10, an upscale movie theater experience with heated recliners and delivery to seat. Within proximity to the center is the 129-acre high tech office campus at 7700 Parmer Lane which includes Oracle, Google, PayPal, Electronic Arts, Polycom, Deloitte, and D&B is also close by. Adding to the booming tech scene, Apple’s $1 billion campus is expected to open this year and employ 5,000 people. Additionally, Austin Waters at Tech Ridge, a 300-unit multifamily complex, sits directly behind the shopping center.
