Grand’s to Relocate, Expand at RD Management’s University Mall in Tampa, Florida

RD Management LLC, one of the nation’s largest privately held real-estate development and management organizations, announced today that Grand’s, an established department store from Puerto Rico, will be relocating within University Mall in Tampa, Florida to a larger, 90,000-square-foot space previously occupied by Dillard’s. Dillard’s recently moved and now occupies the former Macy’s space. The new Grand’s location is expected to open in September.

Grand’s has been in business for over 30 years with 25 locations in Puerto Rico and one in Orlando, Florida. The University Mall department store will offer a merchandising mix of clothing, housewares, and home goods at discounted prices.

“Grand’s is a well performing tenant, and we’re thrilled that they have chosen to expand their offerings and open a larger format store in University Mall,” said Roger Hirschhorn, COO of RD Management. “The relocations within the Mall by both Grand’s and Dillard’s are a testament to the Mall’s loyal customer base and our thriving retailers. University Mall is located at 2200 East Fowler Avenue, in close proximity to the University of South Florida, and allows easy access to both I-275 and I-75. A member of the Tampa Innovation Alliance, University Mall is in the midst of a significant transformation into a mixed-use facility that will include open-air retail, entertainment, hospitality, education, residential, and medical office spaces.

University Mall is one of ten properties owned by RD Management across Florida, and one of more than 150 properties in its national portfolio.
