January 22, 2019
RD Management, JMF Properties, and RIPCO Real Estate add an urgent and family care clinic to the community shopping center
RD Management LLC, one of the nation’s largest privately held real-estate development and management organizations; JMF Properties, a leading New Jersey development company specializing in transit-oriented projects, retail centers, and commercial office parks, and RIPCO Real Estate have signed a lease with MedFirst Primary & Urgent Care at Waterview Marketplace in Parsippany, New Jersey. Darren Sasso, Director of Leasing at RD Management and Alison Horbach, Vice President at RIPCO Real Estate, represented ownership in this lease. Shane Wierks of Jeffery Realty represented the tenant.
MedFirst is set to occupy 4,272 square feet of the new 150,150-square-foot shopping center and will sit adjacent to B.GOOD. The healthcare clinic’s new facility is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2019. It operates two additional locations in Pennsylvania. The Waterview Marketplace lease marks its first venture in New Jersey.
“MedFirst is a key addition to the group of well-established occupants at Waterview Marketplace,” said Richard Birdoff, principal and president of RD Management. “We’re working closely with our partners at JMF Properties and RIPCO Real Estate to debut a next-level retail experience in Parsippany, and the clinic adds necessary diversity to our tenant mix. Residents looking for top-tier shopping, dining, beauty, and fitness will also have quick access to high quality, community-based medical care.”
Waterview Marketplace will be centrally located at the jug-handle intersection of Waterview Boulevard and Route 46. The shopping center will be situated within a high-density and high-income trade area bordered by Mountain Lakes. It will also be surrounded by large office parks and complementary retail, with scenic greenery and lakes located nearby. People from well beyond the Parsippany area will be able to enjoy Waterview Marketplace and its shops, as it is accessible from several major highways in North Jersey including Routes 202, 80, and 287. MedFirst will join DSW, Whole Foods Market, Ulta Beauty, Orangetheory Fitness, Homesense, Shake Shack, B.GOOD, and The Paper Store at the center once it’s completed.
“Together with RD Management and JMF Properties, we strategically identified MedFirst as our target, because we knew the community would benefit from an urgent care facility, especially within this complex. MedFirst adds to a diverse roster of tenants including Homesense, Orangetheory, and Whole Foods at Waterview Marketplace,” said Alison Horbach, Vice President at RIPCO Real Estate. “As the opening of the center nears, we look forward to working with our team towards our shared objective of making Waterview Marketplace the area’s premier one-stop destination for everyday necessities.”
“The Partnership is focused on cultivating a retail mix at Waterview Marketplace that will offer a diverse mix of services in one convenient location,” said Joseph M. Forgione, Founder and Principal of JMF Properties. “MedFirst will provide a community-based healthcare option for area residents that will complement the overall tenant roster and further our vision of creating a meaningful retail experience in Parsippany.”
