RD Management Commences $1 Million Façade Renovations at Seminole Centre in Sanford, Florida
November 9, 2015
RD Management LLC, one of the nation’s largest privately held real estate development and management organizations, announced today that renovations have begun at its Seminole Centre Shopping Center property in Sanford, Florida. These upgrades follow in a line of recent redevelopments and acquisitions made by RD Management throughout Florida. The major façade renovations, totaling $1 million, are scheduled to be completed in January 2016 and will include new awnings and fresh paint throughout the property.
Acquired by RD Management in December of 2013, the Seminole Centre is a 162,936-square-foot shopping center located at 3653 South Orlando Drive in Sanford. Anchored by tenants such as Walmart, Ross Dress for Less, and Aldi, and conveniently situated between major highways Lake Mary Boulevard and Airport Boulevard, the Seminole Centre stands as the trade area’s dominant shopping center.
“The improvements underway at the Seminole Centre will bring a new level of appeal to customers, enhancing the overall shopping experience and providing tenants with greater exposure in an already ideal location,” said Rick Birdoff, principal and president of RD Management. “This center has become a retail hub for shoppers in Sanford and its surrounding communities, and with these renovations we expect its continued recognition as such.”
RD Management owns six properties across Florida and has more than 200 properties in its national portfolio. In addition to the renovations at the Seminole Centre, recent activity in the state includes the acquisition of Merchants Crossing in North Fort Myers and the redevelopment of Shady Oaks Shopping Center in Ocala. Other Florida properties RD Management has acquired, developed, and/or redeveloped include The Groves Shopping Center in Lakeland and University Mall in Tampa.
